"My National Flag flies in my heart and I will bring glory to my Nation." - Guru Kalam

An idea called India

By Dr Anantha Krishnan M., JUL, 2016

An Idea Called India (#AICI) is an innovative talk series anchored by Dr Anantha Krishnan M, Editor, Billion Beats. Launched in front of an international audience during the 103rd Indian Science Congress at Mysuru in January 2016, the #AICI Series has found its way to many corporates and educational institutions in India.

Structured around the teaching of Guru Kalam, the #AICI talk mainly targets youth, suggesting ways to take the nation forward. The speaker uses innovative techniques to engage and inspire the audience. Packed with inspiring videos and thought-provoking slides, the talk is designed to ensure active participation from the audience.

What makes #AICI different is the out-of-the-box communication strategies adopted by the speaker. An advance crew from Billion Beats identifies the area of interest of the audience in addition to mapping their strengths and weaknesses.

Having tracked the life and times of Guru Kalam

as a journalist for close to two decades, Dr Anantha offers participants an opportunity to be part of many missions being undertaken by the Inspired Indian Foundation (IIF).

Incidentally, many volunteers who are part of IIF and Billion Beats now were inspired by #AICI talks.

#AICI is a paid initiative and a major part of the proceeds go towards propelling various missions of IIF and Billion Beats.

“What I am aiming through #AICI is to inspire youngsters to take ownership of whatever they do in life. It is also an attempt to awaken young Indian and make them aware of their responsibilities towards taking India forward,” says Dr Anantha.

As part of the talk, the Billion Beats Innovation Lab #BBIL will be set up in schools and colleges, signalling the inception of their sustained association with Guru Kalam’s missions.
